Room Trax is back with their 11th installment "The Effects" featuring label head Angioma who once again delivers another thoroughly crafted selection of driving tools including three original tracks as well as each Franz Jäger's, Egotot's, and BLANKA's very own propelling interpretations of "Side Effects", "Collateral Effects", and "After Effects". As a perfectly paced introduction to this powerful selection "Side Effects" is kicking in with galloping rhythms and a punchy kick providing serious traction from end to end. Combined with organic drum sounds, high energy, and a thrilling atmosphere it surely takes the present mood on a whole new level.


Starting with a frisky hypnotic arpeggiator "Collateral Effects" quickly raises tension and captivates dancers right away. Lashing drums and percussions push the mood even further until the break gathers the audience's full attention with a sinister drone transitioning into an energetic peak moment that lasts until the very end - what a blast.


With "After Effects", Angioma presents another excellent and pounding production perfectly catching up with any club atmosphere. Coming in clean and heavy, the funky baseline carries the listener all the way through accompanied by mysteriously seeming textures and subtle percussions. Gentle but with tangible pressure this gem shall make the masses move in a trance.


Following a slightly more tool-ish approach than the original Franz Jäger delivers his very own interpretation of "Side Effects" injected with minimalistic drum patterns, fresh sound design, and his signature sound - style consciously converted as always. With its uniquely twisted vibe, it is just the perfect tool for long and sweaty club nights.


Showing the same ability to captivate as the original Egotot's take on "Collateral Effects" proves his partiality for clean, groovy, and baseline-driven techno once more. Characterized by his outstanding sense for rhythmics his remix lets the original version reappear in an altogether different light making it an utmost refreshing complement to the EP.


Last but surely not least BLANKA completes the release with her pumping twist on Angiomas' "After Effects". Polyrhythmic arpeggios embedded in moody textures and distinctive percussion elements keep up energy and tension right from the beginning turning it into an utterly energetic and versatile club weapon - prepare for impact.
